Hi, my name is Tatsuya Wakayama. I´m the head instructor of Waka Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy.

I started training Jiu Jitsu when I was 23 years old. I had never trained martial arts or any sports before but soon after I met Jiu Jitsu I got really into it.

In July of 2003, I went to Brazil and ended up staying for almost 8 years, training hard to improve my skills. In Brazil not only I learned Jiu Jitsu but also I met so many great people through this marcial art which made me wiser.

So I´m hoping that my academy becomes a place where people can meet and exchange ideas.  There are several types of people from different occupations, nationalities, among others, who you might never have contact with.   For sure, you will learn a lot and have a better life by training with us.
